Washington State Registry
of Interpreters for the Deaf

Membership

WSRID is the Washington State chapter of RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf). RID is a national organization with a membership of over 20,000 professional interpreters, students, educators and transliterators. WSRID is one of 54 affiliates established to promote and support the mission and philosophy of the parent association. Membership in our organization includes a subscription to the "WSRID Newsletter", published bimonthly. It also provides reduced registration fees to the annual state convention as well as other workshops. Most importantly, membership in WSRID links you to a group of peers dedicated to mastering the complex art of visual communication. Within this group you will find many networking opportunities, ways to enhance your own skills as well as occasions to advance the profession of interpreting in our state.
